Volunteers are one of the mainstays on any not-for-profit organization.  Volunteers often do behind-the-scenes work that most folks don't even know about. Active KCIS members volunteer their time as hosts for various events.  They also spend several hours prior to the Spring Show and the Bearded and Beardless Sales preparing rhizomes for purchase, gathering photos and preparing the colorful signs for the public's viewing pleasure. Additional members create informative displays and develop educational materials.  KCIS salutes each and every one of our members, and all volunteers everywhere, and says:
